Pre and Post Operative Rehabilitation

Move Steady - Running man only - colour

Going for surgery can be stressful and many people are unsure of what the procedure involves. We provide education and advice around what to expect for your surgery and what steps you need to take afterwards to ensure a full recovery.

Studies show restoring mobility, range of motion and strength before surgery, result in a better outcome following the operation. This is commonly referred to as “Pre-habilitation”. We can help build the muscles around the inured area and restore range of motion before having your surgery. This will give you the best opportunity to ensure your operation is a success.

Following your operation, we create a step-by-step plan to manage your rehabilitation and get you moving comfortably again. We work closely with your GP and specialist to plan a successful treatment pathway.

In particular, we help patients with treatment following:

  • Joint reconstructions and repairs. E.g. A.C.L. and rotator cuff operations
  • Fixation of fractured bones
  • Joint replacements: Hip, knee and shoulder
  • Spinal surgery
